ALSO....Please keep Middle School softball player Ashley Boyd in your prayers.She broke her foot during the Stephens County game on Thursday.
Another player to keep in your thoughts....Lindsey Miles,
who plays on the Varsity. It looks like she’ll miss the
remainder of the season with a partially-torn patellar tendon in her
left knee. She’s in a knee immobilizer until October 9, after which the
doctor will reevaluate whether she will need surgery.

The girls played really hard. Both pitchers - Kara and Morgan had strong outings. Defensively we have a few kinks to work out. Kasey McDonald got the game winning hit with two outs.
“ELITE 80 HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL PLAYERS”
The Georgia Dugout Club will once again sponsor the Georgia High school
Softball Elite 80 Showcase. The Underclassman Showcase is for players that will
enter the 9th 10th, 11th and 12th grade for the 2009-2010 school year. All
sites will be staffed by the showcase committee. Therefore, it is only necessary
to attend one of the listed locations. From the sites listed, the Top 80 players
will be chosen to participate in the final event at All Tournament Players Park
in Marietta, GA on July 22nd, 2009.
Last year in our inaugural showcase events the GADC had participation from over
20 colleges and universities from the southeast including the following:
Georgia Tech, Univ of Georgia, Kennesaw State Univ, Emory Univ, Mercer Univ,
Reinhardt College, Furman Univ, Valdosta State Univ, Georgia State Univ,
Jacksonville State Univ, Shorter College, Darton College, Northwest Florida
State College, Auburn Univ @ Montgomery
Please encourage your players and players in your area to register online to
help us better service the college coaches that attend these events. Registering
online will also allow you to have an online profile for scouts to view. Onsite
registration will be allowed starting at 8:30 on the day of the showcase.
